Quit Smoking Is The Thing To Do Today
Everyone today seems to want you to stop smoking but you really enjoy the taste of a good cigarette and relaxing with one after eating. You are not concerned about the medical reports and the statistics that the medical profession shows everyone. The Surgeon General can publish a hundred reports about the negative effects of smoking-you really do not care about what they are saying. It is your body and you really enjoy smoking and have no plans to stop. You feel that you are being constantly bombarded by friends, family and coworkers who want you to quit smoking. They are persistent in their efforts to get you to stop and think about the negative health effects you are having on your body. In fact, one of them has even brought you a book showing the different stages of lung cancer on the human body. Your frustration level is rising and with all of their nagging, you are smoking more cigarettes, not less. Maybe deep down inside you know that you should stop smoking but you really enjoy smoking and do not want to quit.
Just when you think things could not get worse with everyone you know constantly picking at you to quit smoking, now your employer has banned smoking everywhere in the office. It is bad enough that you have to march outside in all types of weather to smoke your cigarette but now they are talking about raising the health and life insurance premiums that you pay because you are a smoker and at greater risk for future diseases. The trend today is for people to quit smoking. Not only are employers banning all types of smoking in the office, the government has banned it from all buildings they own (such as museums and office buildings), some jurisdictions have now set up their own regulations on where people can smoke. In many instances, bars, restaurants and even hotels are banning smoking from their establishments. Even airplanes are smoke free zones today. Where does it all end? Amazing as it may seem, the frustration will end for you if you just quit smoking. You will no longer have to think about when or where you will be when you can have your next cigarette. There will not be people that you love constantly criticizing you about your bad habit. The doctor will be thrilled that you are now taking better care of yourself and your friends will be amazed and provide encouragement for you to continue with your quest to quit smoking. You will not be alone as there are literally thousands of people who have quit smoking over the last few decades. It is not easy, but it can be done. You can succeed and will be a better person for your efforts. |
